A CITY SERENE Bus Crash Update
According to a family member of one of the victims, two of the band members are clinging to life and are currently in comas. The other band members suffered serious injuries ranging from severe concussions to broken bones.
California Highway Patrol Officer, Patrick Etchebarne, said that all six people riding in the bus broke bones in the wreck. "It looks like maybe the occupants were not wearing their seat belts," Etchebarne said.
San Diego's A CITY SERENE include singers Xander Bourgeois and Carly Baker, guitarists Kris Renfro and Michael Sherman, bassist/vocalist Marc Koch and drummer Mike Buxbaum.
A benefit concert is going to be held on October 3rd at Soma in San Diego, CA. Proceeds from event will be donated to family and band to help with medical costs.

I love how people saying they're "making it bigger" than it is. I'm good friends with their management and know the band well. I love how you quote that they're all up and around where one of them broke both his legs and shattered both his ankles, two in a coma with possible head trauma, one massive concusion and another one beat up bad. Sounds pretty bad and spoke with them shortly after this occured. This is bad people. There shouldn't be any ******** about blowing it out of proportion.
Actually quite the opposite.this just boosted their career about a million percent. i have spoken with the singer [good friend of mine..we went to high school together] he said everyone is fine. everyone is making it out to be a bigger deal than it really is. with the exception of the two...the rest are all out and about and walking around just fine. he said he was a bit banged up and had to get some stitches...and he was in the "worst" condition [with the exception of the two]
I manage the band, A City Serene. I won't go into too many details but the guy you spoke with was the least injured out of everyone in the band. His injuries were a major concussion, broken bones in his hand, and broken bones in his face that required surgery just yesterday. He is still in the hospital. Others have had such major injuries that it will be a miracle if they are able to walk in the next 6 months and have had multiple surgeries. Two others were just hoping that they live. Their injuries arent even a priority. Please dont speak on something unless you know for certain what the case is. Were not asking for sympathy here. But want to stress how important it is to visit the bands myspace and leave them a comment. We are reading them comments every day and it is seriously helping them improve.

If you can donate, thats great, but the most important thing is sending your love to these kids and helping them bet better.
