Did he say he would stop?

I wouldn't date anyone who smoked because,
1) I'm allergic to smoke.
2) Smoking kills.
3) Secondhand smoke.
4) It's gross.

Give him a chance, if it's just the smoking that bothers you, maybe explain that you don't like it. (Again, if that's it.)

My dad stopped smoking in March, and my step-dad smoked until he met my mom. My mom told him he needed to stop smoking, so he did.
