Write an equation of the line that passes through (2,-7) and is parallel to the line x=5

thats actually not too bad

since you know the line is parallel to x=5, and x=5 is a vertical line going up straight up and down on the point 5, than you know that the slope is undefined... i forgot if there was a way to figure out the exact numbers, but the slope will have a 0 in the denominator of the equation if the line was just x=5...

than you just do the point slope form:

y-y=m(x-x)

plug in the points:

y-(-7) = undefined slope (x-2)

than just solve for y
