I hope that everyone did well in their races this weekend. I ran a 10k on Saturday, then an 18 mile long run today. Unfortunately I experienced a mild calf strain about .6 miles into the run. I stretched it out for a few minutes, then ran on. Did 12 miles with only mild discomfort - then the pain started to effect other muscle groups as my injured leg became fatigued. I ended up walking the last 4 miles, but I finished. I just hope that I am not slowed for too long during my recovery. I am not worried for myself, but my wife counts on me running with her. She is new to running. I am going to have to just tough it out, though I know that it means risking a worse injury.
BTW - saw Gravity today with my boys - great flick.
