Had a great 10K race today. I was able to PR even though I was holding back a little since my first Marathon is next week. Frustrating that I finished 5 seconds from placing in my age, which I could have easily done. Oh well, great day and lots of fun and a 41:08 isn't shabby at all. Hope everyone elses races goes well or will go well. I

Short race report:
It was pouring down rain and windy and rather chilly for Texas. Not to mention I'm one week off a 1/2 marathon, so it's not surprising it wasn't my best race.
I debated going this morning due to the weather, but in the true spirit of WISH, decided that I should.
Was on an 8:30 pace through the 5k, but at the turn around we were running into the wind instead of away from it. Weather was so nasty, I had to slow down to be sure not to fall. Ended up finishing in 56 minutes. They had a great post race spread, but it was impossible to enjoy due to the weather.
Course was great and was well supported. Overall I had a good time, but wish the weather had cooperated
