I never know who to tip when checking in my bags at the hotel - I mean, If I have the person that is handing me my boarding pass follow me to my luggage and put the tags on it and take it away, I would tip them. But who do you tip if you put it in area then get in line and the person that is looking up your information and handing you the boarding pass, just hands off you tags to someone else to put on luggage. Would tip both?

I am assuming that they get to keep tips and that they aren't all put into a pile to split up at the end of the day.

Tip either person.

I believe they do split tips, one time I gave a tip to the girl who printed the boarding pass and she put it into a box.

We always hand our tip to the person putting the tags on the luggage. We do know that they share the tips. Many times we have handed the tip to the luggage person who will turn around and hand it to the person at the podium and they put it in a draw. This is one tip that I gladly give. This is a perk I love. Not having to deal with my luggage at the airport is wonderful.

I think many people still don't realize they should be tipping the RAC people. I know that the luggage person I had yesterday was somewhat surprised when I handed him a tip. But I always tip curbside and this is no different.
