RAC and Southwest problem ~ lost luggage

we checked our bags at Pop Century this morning at 11:15 for our Southwest flight at 3:50 but our bags never arrived at our home airport. Southwest says they did not get put on the plane, RAC says they sent them to MCO and it's out of their hands. I have not read many accounts here of this happening, but the woman working at baggage services at PVD says it's been happening all month Anyone else?? Really hoping they are on the next flight from MCO->PVD expected to land later this evening.

well, not saying that it has anything to do with it, but the POP / SW / RAC deal is still in the trial / testing phase, so maybe there was a glitch in the system. You are correct, I hear VERY few cases, and we all know they would be posted if it was an issue.

Please do check back with us when you get your bags, and if you figure out where it got messed up at.

Was this a non-stop or connecting. Luggage gets lost, so there's no way of knowing if it's related to RAC/SW.

You still take your claim check and file a baggage claim in writing at your final destination anyway.

Resort Airline Check-in is an extension of the airline to the resort, not an extension of Disney to the airport.

it was a nonstop flight. I do realize luggage gets lost/delayed, but after hearing the woman working at PVD's SW baggage assistance desk say it's been happening all month from Pop's RAC desk, I was wondering if people here found it to be a common problem.

Thankfully, they did call around 11:30 last night and said that our luggage had arrived on the later flight. They are going to deliver it to us some time this morning.
