R.I.P. Ariel and King Tritons Grotto

Its been destroyed for the new Tinkerbell and Friends Meet and Greet Area.


Whether it will ever reopen is unknown.


It was such a nice place just to take a break from the crowd with all the nice foutain jumpers.

I could be totally wrong about this but i thought i read something recently that one of the changes they're making to DCA was that they were going to put in an Ariel's grotto type thing. Maybe someone else can confirm this?

I think they are building an Ariel ride at DCA.

I think the fountain jumpers have been turned off recently because they were getting the path way too wet and slipperty.

I just noticed you have a ticker saying 2 weeks 4 days until your cruise and Disneyland vacation. What cruise are you taking?

Hubby and I are spending Friday October 17th at the parks and then we leave for Mexico on the Norwegian Star on the 18th.

Yes, there is supposed to be a LM ride opening up at DCA. I believe it will be at the theatre for Golden Dreams. I also believe it's supposed to be pretty much the dark ride they made a virtual ride of for the LM DVD last year. It's one they've had in the "Disneyland that Never Was" for ages.

We are going opposite you..... We board a Carnival cruise for a quick 3 day get away to Ensenada on the 17th. Then we will meet my mom and kiddos at DL on Monday after we get back for the rest of the week. It will be our first vacation WITHOUT kids....EVER. I guess our belated honeymoon, 10 year anniversary, hubby 30 bday all rolled into one.
