Quiet places at WL?

My DH doesn't usually come with DD and me on our WDW trips. He is not the big Disney fan his women are. He is also not a big fan of crowds, noise, lines, etc. While we're "making" him come to MNSSHP and a few trips to the park, we've also promised him some quiet time.

Now my challenge is finding him some quiet places to read, etc., especially at WL. I need your help!

The lobby has some very comfy chairs to sit and people watch or read. The 5th floor (I think it was the 5th!) had a few nooks with chairs. The pool area was very nice. I didn't find the WL noisy or annoying. My non WDW loving husband loved the hotel.

When DH and I have gone alone we went over to the pool by the VWL. It was very quiet. It seems like there are lots of quiet spaces where he could sit and read at the lodge. We enjoyed it when we brought the kids as well. Have fun!

The 4th or 5th floors have two especially nice areas in the main lobby area. One is an outside balcony with ~ 1/2 dozen chairs overlooking the courtyard area -- pool ane lake. That might have some noise from the pool, but the 'river' might also cover some of it up. At the opposite end of the lobby on the 4 or 5th floor is a small fireplace area with just a few really comfy chairs.
The beach area doesn't usually have too many people there and there's chaise lounges.

All the above is true. He should spend some time checking out each floor level as there are Native American art and displays.

The Villas pool is very quiet and the first table on the right as you enter the pool area has a rock speaker with the looby music piped to it. Great place to read, snooze or just sit.

Just do not sit too close to the Whispering Canyon Lodge restaurant......if you want quiet

:duck:

The balcony of your room should be a good place to read and relax. The woods view rooms should be quiet.

Above the main entrance to the lobby are small sitting areas on the 4th and 5th floors. These have comfortable couches and chairs in front of fireplaces.

Thank you all! This is just what we needed to know. I thought there would be quiet nooks, I just wasn't sure where to look for them.

The beach!

After a crazy day of crowds, I just sat in a beach chair on the beach while dh & dd rented a boat.

It's is extremely peaceful and relaxing. The view is breathtaking.
