For those who have stayed at both BWV and BCV, which one is quieter overall. My daughter and I are both light sleepers, so noise from the outside or in the hallway can be a concern. Any thoughts?

Jmho, but there will be some noise in even the very 'best' of locations at either of these two resorts but I don't think it'd be anything significant to really be an issue unless you have balcony door open . . .in addition to maybe hearing from time to time some hallway traffic many BCV villas border on Epcot Resorts Drive (believe that's what road is called that loops around to all resorts) and at BWV standards face onto entrance drive of that resort and pool view or boardwalk view will have possibility of noise from those areas.

FWIW, we had 1 bedroom standard (3121 if I recall correctly) which is at end of BWV furthest from lobby just overlooking canal separating resort from parking area but set back enough from entrance drive so that we didn't find noise from outside to be an issue and it is at end on hall more or less so had very little hall traffic too.

No matter where you stay, how do you propose to keep kids from running and yelling in the halls?

We stayed at BCV in November and it was quiet. Definitely would recommend it for a good nights sleep. The check in desk is at the Beach Club Resort which is in a completely different building. Our room was at the back of the building so it was just a stairwell to a walking path. The path wound around the back of the building and met up at the path to Epcot. We were shocked at how close we were. The first time we went to Epcot we walked over to the Yacht Club to take the boat. We had quite the laugh when we realized how close we were to the International Gateway and how much time we had just wasted. :rotfl2:

BCV. DH is the lightest sleeper I can imagine, yet he commented on how quiet it was there.

I was amazed how quiet BWV is. While BCV is going to seem more laid back than BWV just because of the BW, we couldn't hear anything from our room. We were on the 3rd floor (view of the main pool), and honest to goodness, we couldn't hear a thing. I was worried when the gentleman had us overlooking the main pool, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

If you just want the laid back feel, I would suggest BCV. If you're just interested in the room noise, either one will due. I would just suggest an upper floor if staying at BWV (maybe a quiet pool view). :thumbsup2

bcv - just don't get parking lot or view of epcot (it generally has service road not to mention main road to BC)

I was going to recommend the "Epcot view" location. Other than 9PM every night, extremely quiet. We weren't near any roads when we had this view.
