quiet day cos of the snow but we still have 2 Christmas's left

Sat DH takes DS to have Christmas with that side of the family.
Sun I take DS to have Christmas with my mother and brother.

And then we move on to New Year's Eve

Hi, imgoingtodisney. Just wondered why you and DH go to your respective families separately. In our family, we go to my mom's and we go to DH's mom's. Apparently you do this differently and I was just intrigued by that. Just wondering. Hope you have had a Merry Christmas.

MIL is having acceptance problems (things are ok for 1 family member but not for another- ticks me off bigtime) and doesnt want to see me at this time. Actually if she's going to behave the way she has, Id rather not see her either. DHs brothers are going along with the mother - dont want to stand up to her.

Sunday is always DHs Dungeons & Dragons day with the boys. We could wait till the following Sat to have Christmas with my mother but then it would be Jan 4.

So this year we will have separate Christmases with the inlaws.
