"quiet" character meals?

thanks for all of your advice. another question about character meals though....is the tip included in the price you pay or, should I plan on adding $$ for a tip?

I'm not sure where you're staying, but if you can make it to Beach Club, Cape May breakfast is very nice and also quiet. No music or dancing. The characters are dressed in beach attire.

I do not believe tip is included in the character meal price.

Every time we go to WDW, we have breakfast at Restaurantosaurus at AK. It's usually quiet, especially between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.

We have eaten at every character meal on property, and absolutely agree that Garden Grill is the most quiet and casual meal on property. We really enjoy it!

Happy eating, Tiger :)

Chip & Dale (I can't recall who else). I think Mickey too.

The Garden Grove Cafe....you'll have to check for the latest info on this place but I think we went on a Sat. for breakfast. It's in the Swan Hotel & it is by far the quietest character meal. Pluto & Goofy were there...they came out one at a time (same person? not sure) but they each gave our table a lot of attention and the place was not packed. I really liked this breakfast b/c I didn't have to be locked into a buffet price. Although a buffet was offered, you could also order a la carte. I ordered something light for myself.....where else can you have a character meal for less than $5? I don't know if this is still the case & if it's only breakfast that has the characters but I just thought I'd pass my experience along. It was great & my DDs were 2 & 4 at the time - they loved it on our day off from the parks!

Character meals that I feel are pretty quiet are:
*LTT dinner
*GG
*CRT
*Norway

CP, CM, and P&D are loud because they are either big and/or have a celebration of some sort.

If you want a quiet character meal, avoid anything with a buffet. You might get something "quieter" at certain times at a buffet, but as a general rule, they will be the loudest. I agree with Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern. We actually like the food at those two (pre-menu changes with the popularity of the dining plan) and it's a good basic group of characters. Garden Grill has characters at both lunch and dinner, LTT only at dinner.

The LTT was the loudest meal I have even had in my life, Im glad I did go to the others, and we went at 4:00 on a tuesday. I went to the Character brackfast at Ohanas when it opened at the poly,
There was NO ONE there, all the characters hung out at our table, and the food was great

I've heard Cape May breakfast is quieter and good food. Haven't tried it yet - it's on the ADR list for our upcoming trip! :cool1:
