Quickest way from Dolphin to MK?

Need some advice on something that annoyed me the last time I stayed at the Dolphin. The bus to MK took forever to come if you didn't hit it right. Any suggestions on a faster route from the Dolphin to MK?

I mean is there a quicker mode of transportation rather than taking a bus? Like heading to Epcot and taking the monorail from there. I'd rather not have to wait for a bus anywhere.

The walk/boat ride to the WS plus the walk up to the front entrance plus the wait for the monorail...I dont know, seems like it would take a long time just getting on a monorail.

Yes, the absolute fastest way is to take a taxi.

Try any of the other Boardwalk resort stops?

The only problem with this is that many times the Boardwalk resorts all share a bus- so you'll probably end up just getting a ride back to the Dolphin before getting to MK.

You could go to Epcot...but thats a LONG walk to go to the International Gateway, then all the way through the park to get to the monorail. Once on the monorail, you'd have to ride to the TTC, then switch to MK or...take the resort launch, which would stop at monorail resorts on the way.

Honestly, the bus is probably the best bet. Even with having a car, we always do the bus at the Dolphin because you can skip the TTC/Monorail/Ferry.

Can taxi's drop you at the MK? Or do they still go to TTC? I thought I remembered being taken directly there one year, but then I also remembered riding the monorail that morning, so I thought maybe I was wrong.

As mentioned, the fastest way would be a taxi. When we stayed there, we always took the bus to MK.

Taxis to MK drop off at the TTC, not directly at MK. That's the fastest. A direct bus probably is the second fastest. Another option, rather than going to Epcot, walking all the way to the front of the park, and waiting for a monorail, would be to either Friendship ferry or walk over to DHS and hop over to MK by bus, but I'd pretty much guarantee that this would take longer.

Hollywood Studios doesn't have a direct bus to the Magic Kingdom. From there the only options would be is taking the bus to the Transportation & Ticket Center, then getting on the Express Monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom. The other option is getting on the Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian bus, then getting off at the Contemporary and using their walkway to the Magic Kingdom.

Interesting clarification I had not realized. However, don't go looking for a bus to the TTC at DHS! I do like the idea of taking the bus to the Contemporary and walking - will have to try that sometime for fun.

This is inaccurate. There are park-hopping buses from all parks. However, these buses don't start until about an hour after the park opens.

No, it is not inaccurate. There are no buses from DHS, ever, that go directly to the MK. They all go to the TTC...which is vastly different than the MK. You will still need to take the monorail or ferry over to the MK. Only resort buses deliver you right to the MK.
Oh, and by the way, the buses do start running about 6:30am, from resorts to parks, for early ADRs and tours.

Unfortunately, the buses from the S/D tend to suffer a bit. Any time you have the ability to get to one, or two, parks by foot, boat or monorail, the bus service to the other parks suffers. Happens to all the deluxe resorts. Buses to DHS from the Polynesian, GF and CR are nasty. It's almost easier to just go to the TTC and get the DHS bus there.
S/D share bus routes with BW at all times. Sometimes they are first on the route, sometimes BW is first. At park opening and park closing, they are the only three stops. But, in the middle of the day, you could end up on a bus that stops at the YC and then BC as well.....5 stops.
But, keep in mind the fact that the vast majority of resorts have to share a bus with others. The only resorts that don't share a route are the moderates...but they have mulitiple bus stops within each resort, so you're making multiple stops that way. Only Pop Century has a bus to itself...always.

If you are at an Epcot resort, and you want to get to the MK quickly, then you are best served by calling a cab. Otherwise, it's going to take awhile.

Thanks for confirming what I previously said.

We have stayed at the Swan and BC. DS loves the monorail, so we walk through the back gate of Epcot, out the front... and onto the monorail. You will have to change to another train at the TTC. It may/may not be faster but it is enjoyable.
