Quickest path from HRH to US?

We stayed at the HRH years ago, and there was a gate by the pool that we could swipe our room key through and take a short cut through a parking lot to get to the parks quicker.

Is that still an option or will we have to take the longer paths?

No. That gate is locked. You have to go across the pool and follow the pathway. Or, you can go out the front to the parking lot and that way.

I always thought leaving through the front, do a left, down the steps, left at the bottom of the steps and straight ahead was the quickest route. Not very scenic, but fast.

that's a LOT of steps to do in getting to the ground floor.
i have done that before .......

i prefer doing the walking path to get to the park.

Just remember, if you are going to early opening for Harry Potter you can't walk through the pool area since it is locked until 8:00. You will have to follow the signs and go out toward the boat dock and pick up the path that way. You could also follow the halls and find the door that exits just on the other side of the gate at the exit from the pool. We did that last year.

Just curious, how long of a walk is it from HRH to US and IOA???

Its about 5 min. to US with a bag check just at the end of the pathway, and a few min. past that to get to IOA.

We were just there - and are going back this Saturday

We always stay at the HRH.. so last trip we timed how long it took from the US Gate back to the elevator bank in the hotel.

There was a 30 second diff between taking the pool exit and folowing the path, to going out the front door, down the stairs, and through the parking lot.

so if you want to hit IOA for early opening - then take the front exit, if not then the pool exit is just as fast

I think we timed it at 7minutes or something.
