I fly to Orlando (MCO) via Newark (EWR) from Glasgow every year, with Continental.

Flying time between Newark and Orlando about 2 hrs 40 mins.

Newark airport is in New Jersey and you can get the shuttle train from Newark to Penn Station- it has a very good service. You can also hire a yellow cab - this is something else - depending on the driver. I think ther is also a reliable bus service to various hotels -I haven't used this though.

As for 'is it worth the journey?' YES - I love New York - I was there for my 40th and had a fantastic time and I'm hoping to go back there for another weekend break - but I'll have to make do with a short stopover in a few weeks time.

I am going to New York then flying down to Orlando in October.I have booked internal flights with Jet Blue who are a highly regarded low cost airline like Ryanair I guess. They do flights from JFK to Orlando International.Very reasonably priced, the earlier you book the cheaper.

I think it's definitely worth the side trip, and pretty easy to do:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
