We went on Tuesday, 12/6 and it was great. Our first time ever and we had a party of 8, one was a toddler (2). We arrived at about 5:30 or so after spending the morning at another park.
No big lines to get in- got our wristband at the entrance. Headed to cosmic ray's to eat a quick dinner. by the time we finished up at about 6:15pm, they were already checking wristbands of people wanting to even come into cosmic ray's. The CM wouldn't even let them come use the bathroom in there unless they had a wristband. Every ride we rode after 7pm, they checked for it too.
We found out that only Frontierland would have rides running between 6-7pm so we headed straight there. We did Splash twice with absolutely no line at all and walked on Thunder too.
Then we moved on to Fantasyland, as it was 7pm and it should be up and going now. We did Snow White, Peter Pan, PhilHarmagic, Small World and then hit up Haunted Mansion- all walk ons pretty much. AFter HM, we headed over to Pooh and it had about a 20 min wait, so we skipped it. We went near country bears and grabbed hot chocolate (with marshmellows) and cookies. Waited about a minute in a short line. Then off to Dumbo- waited abotu 5 minutes for it. Watched the holiday hop and got more hot choc back near Ariel's grotto. They were serving it all over the place, even though all the spots weren't marked on the brochure. We then did teacups and the indy speedway cars. about 5 min wait on each.
we tried to get in for the TWas night before christmas show, but was standing room only, so we did Buzz instead. Then space mtn and got a quick drink....then time for Holiday WISHES which we watched from the TL bridge. it was awesome. we literally walked onto the bridge as it started, we didn't stake out a spot and didn't need to, unless you wanted to sit. It was incredible.......that is all i can say. we loved it. WE then got a pretzel and relaxed for a bit until time for the second parade (we skipped the first one to ride rides instead).
We also stopped and got our free photo made in the timekeeper area.....there was about a minute wait. she said the line was crazy earlier. we went at about 10:30 or 10:45 and hardly waited. They let us take multiple photos- my sister and hubby got one and then they let us do one of all of us together. and she marked that she would send us 6 photos total- so each couple or single person got one. I didn't expect that, we thought we would only get one.
So we watched the second parade after that and loved it too.
We managed to ride so much that night with little or not wait. no more than 5 minutes. And we saw the parade and wishes, but didn't catch any other shows. We got our photos and our hot chocolate.
It was so worth it. We finally left about 11:15 or 11:30, right after the second parade. we had a great time and would do it again in a heartbeat.
