Quick Spirit Airlines Question

We are considering flying Spirit out of ACY for our October trip. We've never flown them before (usually fly Jet Blue of of Newark.) I read recently that the pilots were considering striking in June. Now I know that nobody can say for sure but if I was booked for travel on a flight that was effected by a pilot strike would I at least get my money back?

I may be willing to risk it to say $800 over Jet Blue as long as I know if something happens I will get my funds returned. Anyone have any experience with this? I called Spirit and the woman this morning had no idea.
