If free dining comes out on March 1, I may be convinced to book. Right now we have reservations offsite at the Marriott Little Lake Bryan by DTD. I was planning on sit down meals. I'm thinking about switching to onsite with the QSDP if a code comes out.

What are some Quick Service locations that might make me NOT miss doing sit down meals?

DH and I usually do simple sit down meals for both lunch and dinner. For example, we might do Via Napoli for lunch and share an individual pizza and get the salad for 2. Then for dinner go for sushi at the Swan hotel.

We are also not commando tourists. So we don't mind going to out-of-the way places like resort restaurants and DTD restaurants.

Any suggestions for us?

I highly recommend the Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom, if you're into barbequed food. The food is delicious, the portions very generous, and the outside seating area is very large and shaded and the scenery is nice. It's my favorite counter service type meal! :thumbsup2

we will be on free qsdp on our stay in a week...have read on these boards that Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is a great place for QS...also we are staying at Coronado Springs and have heard that the Pepper Market buffet at breakfast and lunch is a counter service meal which is an excellent value...we like many of the dining venues at Epcot in the countries and most of them have counter service options (cant wait to have the fish and chips!!)

Sunshine Seasons in The Land/Epcot...the "ambiance" is horrible (loud, busy and crowded) but the food makes up for it. Hot stations include grilled pork chops, Asian stations, etc. and wonderful bakery dessert items if you have a sweet tooth.

Wolfgang Puck Express CAfe at DTD: wonderful flatbreads, pasta dishes, etc. You order at counter like fast food, but they serve it to you at your table via waiters (who will also bring you refills on beverages and dessert.)

Good food at most resort food courts, too.

We did the QSDP for the 2nd time in Oct. (after 6 times on the std. DDP) and we too didn't mind traveling to non-park locations for our meals. I have a report detailing our meal, with photos (click on link in siggy).

Our favorite ones are:

DTD-
Wolfgang Puck Express. We did 2 lunches and 1 breakfast here.
Cookes of Dublin-good food.

Resorts-food courts
Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary. We also ate here 3 times-2 dinners and one breakfast. The dinners were very good. Better than many of the food court meals you can get. The breakfast was the same as back at POP-just okay. It's located in the middle of all the action. You can even watch the monorails go by.

POFQ-

Great 1/2 chicken. Also Build-your-own salads. And of course beignets for dessert, or snack.

Capt. Cooks at Poly-
We had a decent meal here (many others report that they love it) The Pork Nachos were great!

Parks-

Sunshine Season-where else can you get seared Ahi Tuna at a CS?
CHH-MK. Great Fried Shrimp. Also Salmon with couscous and broccoli. The Apple Pie was also very good. Eat upstairs for less crowds.
Kringla-Norway, Epcot. Great sandwiches inc. a side, dessert, and drink on DDP. A hidden jewel.
Boulagerie in France. Yummy pastries and DD12 still mentions the Cheese Tartine (think pizza bread) she had here.

HTH.
