Hi everyone,

I enjoy reading reviews that are to-the-point and in one post, so that's what I'm doing. :) Let me know if you have any questions about any of my reviews.

Kona Cafe was a disappointment. The food (mostly steaks) was just okay (lacked flavor), the "wave" dessert (not called that, but same premise), was just okay (not near as good as Coral Reef's). The service was just okay, slow service, but not rude. So "just okay" all the way around. It won't be in our lineup next year.

Tutto Italia was great. Good atmosphere, attentive, friendly service, food was authentic. I had a fish dish (great!), my husband had a chicken dish that he didn't enjoy as much, my son had the Lasagna -- it was delicious, he said, as did my husband who snuck a bite. My husband will be choosing that next time. I can't remember what the rest of our crew had. It's on our "go-back" list.

Rose and Crown was good. The food wasn't as good as in the past, but we always enjoy the friendliness of the staff there. I don't know why we always click with them, but we do and it makes for a great experience. That said, I don't think we'll go back next year because the food was like Kona's -- just okay.

Sci-Fi Dine In was the surprise of the trip. We've never gone because of the reviews, but wanted to try something different this year. It was great. My husband and son had the ribs and thought they were good. I had the new shrimp dish, and it was great -- plenty of shrimp, great flavor. The atmosphere is great. It's back on the list for next year.

Whispering Canyon Cafe -- we were reminded of why we skipped it last year and it won't be in our lineup next year. It's not that it was horrible, it was okay, not great (the food, the service), but the noise after a long day at the parks just doesn't suit our family's style. I had the prime rib and it was okay. Most everyone else had the all-you-can-eat skillet. The pulled pork was rated highly, with everything else being so-so. If you want a fun atmosphere, I'd suggest 50's Prime Time instead. It's quieter, and more fun, and the food is a little better.

Teppan Edo was better than last time we went (when it was Teppanyaki). Their redesign resulted in more space, so you're not as packed in around the tables. My local-ish Japanese restaurant serves better tasting food, but this wasn't bad. The chef and the service was great. The regular steak tasted better than the filet, which was surprising. The children's meal in the "monorail" plate wasn't good. My daughter ended up sharing our plates. We may go here again next year -- we haven't come to a consensus yet.

Le Cellier - I enjoyed this restaurant even more than in the past. I had the filet, but asked for mashed potatoes instead of the mushroom risotto this time, and oh my goodness -- I hope they never get rid of this entree. It was delicious. If you don't like the creamy rice (risotto), try the mashed potatoes. Yummmmmm. This will definitely be back in the lineup for next year, maybe more than once.

Chef Mickeys was great for what it was -- a buffet breakfast where my daughter can mingle with her friends (Minnie, Mickey, and gang). We always look forward to eating here before we head on home.

So our favorites this year were Le Cellier (by far), Tutto Italia, and Sci-Fi, with Teppan Edo, and Chef Mickeys coming in behind them. Whispering Canyon and Kona will definitely do without us next year, and we'll probably skip Rose and Crown, too.

Oh, I also wanted to mention that I think food portions have decreased a little this year, and that the change was a good one. It made me feel less wasteful, but I never went hungry. The lack of appetizers also made the meal go faster, which was also a good change -- it was just the right amount of time to rest from the parks and then get back out there again.

Let me know if you have any questions about my reviews. :)

I agree with your reviews about LeCellier, Whispering Canyon and Rose & Crown (I've done mine on LeCellier but am waiting to upload the rest of my pictures before I do mine on Whispering Canyon and Rose & Crown). We will NOT return to Whispering Canyon.

th:thumbsup2 anks for your reviews - they were right to the point! glad to hear about tutto italia - that is on our list for november - we thought the prices seemed high when i looked at their menu --- how was the atmosphere and noise level?

thanks again!

thanks for your reviews, we also loved sci-fi dine in & almost didn't go because of bad reviews but the kids were desperate to go so we managed to get a reservation while we were there & it is definately on our list of places to return to next year :thumbsup2

Thanks for the reviews. :) We've always wanted to try Sci-Fi, but have been a bit put off by the reviews. Glad to hear you had a great meal there - I think I'll add it to our list for next April! :thumbsup2
