Hello all-
Just a quick report on our trip from 9/21 thru 9/26. I don't think the trip could have gone better. Flights were on time. Boarded Magical Express right away and we were in our connecting rooms at POP one hour from the time we landed. There were 7 of us in the 70's building (Mickey phone) with two connecting rooms. I enjoyed this resort. Not a far walk to anything. We never heard any of the noise that other people complained about. I prefer this resort over CS--I really didn't care for that one. The bus service was excellent! Only waited about 10 minutes one time for a bus to MGM. Can't complain about that!
The parks--NO LINES WHAT SO EVER!!!! I think the longest we waited was about 5 minutes for the safari ride at AK. Everything else we walked right on.
Free dining plan--none of us could believe what an amazing deal this was. I kept most of our receipts and they totalled over $1500. We had counter service meals that we didn't even use. I wish I could have given them to someone the last day. Didn't really know how to do that. I had six snacks left over the last day, so I grabbed six rice crispy Mickey's that we ate on the way home. For the table service meals, we ate at Hollywood and Vine (Fantasmic Package), 1900 Park Fare (Mary Poppins was amazing), 50's PrimeTime (a family favorite), Canada (our bill here was over $375 alone) and Crystal Palace (we had a huge Eeyore fan with us--couldn't miss this one!). I think my mother would have eaten at Canada every night. They had surf and turf as a special that they included with the free dining package. Three of the seven of us ordered that and all the food was delicious! If Disney decides to offer this deal again, we'll be there!!
Again, we had a great time. I don't think I would have changed a thing. Any questions?
