quick questions about booking

being that we bought at AK - if we book at the 11 months window then at the 7 month window we decide we would like to change our reservations for say BW would we have to cancel our AK reservations before making BW reservations or can we tentatively book it to make sure BW is available then tell Mouse Services that we are cancelling AK and using those points?

In order to make any reservation, you must have points available for the date of the reservation. You may make as many reservations as your points will allow.

If you have an AKV reservation and want to reserve the same dates at BWV - you can do that providing you have enough points for both reservations. Otherwise, you would need to cancel the AKV reservation in order to have enough points for the BWV reservation. MS will not "hold" a reservation to let members decide what they want to do.

In most situations, if you call MS at 7 months and find availability at BWV you will be able to cancel the AKV and make the BWV reservation using the same points without any problem.

Ya sorry i didn't mean I wanted them to hold the reservations for us I just wanted to make sure we had something booked.

the best way i thougth would be to book AK and then find out if BW was available at the 7 month mark and if it was cancell AK and book BW and if it wasn't we still have our original reservations at AK.

If you had current points to keep the first while you book the second, do that. On Monday, 2 nights at BWV were lost when cancelled and apparently immediately, the 2 nights at VB were not available, and I lost both. I am not happy with MS right now!!! We have OKW booked but we really hope that the BWV becomes available to us again. We had spent all weekend dreaming about a 2 night get away again to VB between WDW...we didn't want to have to change WDW resorts in the middle of a stay!
