Hi There,
We are thinking of going down for a week in March. I was just curious, does the campground have transportation to the parks and if so what is your opinon on the transportation to and from the parks with using Disney and any other advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance. :)

There are busses to and from FW but you have to transfer from internal to external transport. This could take more time then usual :rolleyes1 . You can take a boat to the MK :boat: .

You can also take a boat to Contemporary, monorail to TTC, monorail to Epcot. From Epcot you can take a boat to MGM. Seems like a lot of running around, but it's great fun.

Just curious, what does it mean to transfer from internal to external transport, I am not sure about that, could you please explain. :)

It does sound like a lot of running around, however even last time when I stayed onsite I did a lot of park hopping and ended up running around a lot but I always had a fun time. :)

Internal busses serve FW and run from the Outpost to the Settlement. From those two locations, you have to transfer to another bus, depending on where you want to go.

Thank You!!! So it doesn't seem to complex, basically go to one location and then hop off the bus and onto another bus, or I can do the boat to the MK, and from there the monorail to Epcot, and also the boat then to MGM, very cool. Doesn't sound too bad. Has your experience always been that it is pretty smooth? :)

Our experiences with the transportation system have been mostly good. The only time it hasn't been good is when we've used the buses when the parks are closing. They can get quite crowded. Once, I was forced to stand while holding onto my 1 year old. Men who had seats wouldn't give theirs up for me to sit down. I wasn't too happy about it as it is hard to stand and hold onto a baby while the bus is moving.

We love taking the boat to MK and taking the Monorail to EPCOT.

Using Disney transportation to and from the various parks and resorts is part of the fun of staying on site. Maybe because we are people watchers? :confused3 Its all good.....you are at DISNEY!

Only bad experience I have had is once the boat ran out of gas on the way to WL. The trip that should have taken a few minutes ended up taking 45 while we waited for another boat to bring out some gas. It was okay, though. The weather was great and the captain was funny.
