Quick question on ticketing.....

Suppose I have a 5 day MYW ticket. We arrive at WDW on Tuesday afternoon and just go that evening with a MNSSHP ticket. Does that use one of the 5 days?

Desperately trying to plan an October trip. Please help.

No, you don't need two tickets to enter MNSSHP. Just use your MNSSHP ticket to enter when they start allowing people in for the party. They will only allow you into MK for the party, however. If you go to MK earlier in the day, then, yes, it will require a day from your regular park tickets in addition to the MNSSHP ticket.

You don't need to use a day of your regular MYW tickets in addition to the MNSSHP ticket, unless you enter MK before 4pm. At 4pm you will be allowed to enter MK with just the MNSSHP ticket. Everything you read about the party will say 7pm, but for many years entry has actually started at 4pm (to avoid utter crowd chaos at the main gate/Main Street area in conjunction with the start of party activities). That will give you a good amount of time to spend in MK in daylight conditions. Historically, there are two places in the park, one in Tomorrowland and one in Adventureland, where you can get your MNSSHP ticket scanned and get your wristband for the party, so you don't have to go back to the main gate. Ask a CM about where to go when the time gets near.
