I live in the panhandle of FL and had to drive down to Tampa yesterday. I have made this trip many times so am used to things being a certain way. I was struck by how many people were getting ticketed for speeding. Especially between Gainesville and Ocala. It was a mix of FHP and Sheriff Dept and even saw a few city patrol cars. Most were working in what I call "wolf packs". One would be sitting in a clearing in the woods beside the road, he would be the one using radar to record speeds. He would then call the car's description up to one of the 2 or 3 cars waiting about 1/2 mile up the road....they were the ones who would pull you. All this was going on during the daytime, last night on my way back I didn't see any similar activity going on.
So, if you are driving down on I75 you might want the check your speed. Nobody wants to start their vacation with a speeding ticket.
BTW, I didn't notice similar activity on I10, seemed it was just on I75.
