Just passed ROFOFR and going to stay in my 'home away from home' BWV in a standard studio.

Noticed that Disney notes 'lock off' or 'dedicated' under studio descriptions (in addition to PV or SV) . Wondering what, if any , is the difference, besides the obvious 'connecting' door. Is there more noise? Is the balcony shared? etc. Also...if anyone has an opinion on a particular standard view room that was exceptional in some way...please let me know!!!!

Thanks!

You'll have a private balcony with either dedicated or lock off at BWV. I personally prefer the dedicated because there isn't the connecting door - seems more private. It's probably quieter, too - but that really mostly depends on who your neightbors are (luck).

I'm sure you remember that dedicated is a request and not guaranteed. Also, you'll have a better chance of getting what you want if you keep your requests general.

My advice for standard view is to request N/S, dedicated, upper floor across from the bus stop (for best view of IllumiNations fireworks from the balcony) and hope you get lucky. FWIW, we've never had a bad standard view room.

Good to hear you passed ROFR. WELCOME HOME!

Best wishes -

Also, the dedicated studio has a small daybed. The lock-off, which has the double doors connecting to the 1BR which when closed result in a "lock-off," does not because the daybed would go where the doors are. You are less likely to hear anything from the other room with a dedicated.

Our experience is that the dedicated studios are definitely quieter than the lockoffs. We'll take a 'dedicated ' one every chance we get!
