We are returning from our WDW trip on Mother's Day, flying into STL Lambert Airport. We are hoping to make as quick an exit as possible in order to make a family gathering for my mother. Other than having someone meet us at the airport, does anyone have any tips/suggestions for a quick getaway from the airport? If we are driving ourselves to the airport, which looks to be the case right now, we would like to keep our car in covered parking. However, the last time we flew from STL to Orlando and parked our car at one of the off-site covered parking garages, it took forever for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport with our return flight. Would parking lot C be the best for our situation? We are coming from IL.

I always park in Lot C (Cypress), but then I live down in Kirkwood and it's just a quick couple of turns to get onto Lindbergh heading straight home. If you're heading to IL, however, Lot C is west of the actual airport terminals and takes you away from IL.

I used to use offsite parking and it's really hit or miss as far as which vans come fastest or run more often. Basically you can pretty much rely on the fact that whatever lot I am in will the the last bus to arrive.

You might want to look at one of the offsite options. Park Express, for example, is actually close to I-170 (east of the airport and in the direction of IL) and has covered self parking for $15.95 per day (a little more expensive than Lot C). They claim that shuttles run every three minutes.
