Anyone have any ideas for quick and easy breakfasts to have in the camper before we go to the parks? We will be on the dining plan for lunch and dinner.

We just did the dining plan last week. We did bacon, eggs and cereal for breakfast in the camper.

I don't know the whole cheese in a can thing is scary to a Wisconsinite!

One hint which we learned going to the Penn State home games for 10 years and still do at home is to fry up your Bacon and Sausage patties at home, freeze them and then if you want zap them in the Microwave for a few seconds. I actually like my Bacon room temp, very tasty and and easy. I separate the slices of cooked bacon/sausage between the paper towels I blotted them on so it won't stick to the paper, wrapping in Al. foil and then a baggie and make sure you put them on the freezer door and don't cram them anywhere in case of the Bacon or you will just have bacon bits only good on a salad.:lmao:

Also, when we have pancakes, we do a double batch and then either freeze them or just refrigerate if you going to have them again in a couple of days. Put in toaster and with the frozen bacon you have breakfast with no pots or pans to clean. You can do the same thing with hard boiled eggs, but never tried to freeze them, but in the refer for 3 or 4 days for a future meal eliminates cooking them and at least you have eggs.

When on the road or even camping DW will use one of the foil package muffin mixes that make like 6 muffins and again with the frozen bacon and/or sausage it's one bowl to mix the muffins and a teflon muffin pan.

Finally unless you're eating steaks or something that you need a steak knife to eat, paper plates are your friend.

Now.... don't go "eeewwwwww" until you've tried this. One of my favorite breakfast's is peanut butter & bacon sandwiches. You can either pre-cook your own bacon & store in a zip-lock bag, or go to Sam's & by the Hormel Black Label pre-cooked (which is what I do). It's a filling sandwich & holds you over until lunch.

The other thing I do is make my own "Egg McMuffins". Walmart sells pre-cooked sausage patties & pre-cooked eggs in the frozen food section. I nuke 1 sausage & 1 egg patty at the same time for 90 seconds (wrap sausage in a paper towel), toast an english muffin, build your McMuffin w/slice of american cheese & nuke one more time for 15-20 secs to melt the cheese. Fast & easy!

We just got back and we bought frozen pancakes on a stick with sauage in the middle and breakfast bisquets (Frozen) and just heated them up in the microwave. We were on the dining plan also.

My favorite camping breakfast is breakfast burritos. I like corn tortillas wrapped around beans, potatoes, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Of course, many people prefer the egg/sausage type! We bring everything ready made and just warm the components up.

We also enjoy BLTs. Super easy and a good way to sneak in some veggies at breakfast! We premake faux bacon so all that we have to do is warm it up. With lettuce, tomatoes, fresh cracked pepper, veganaise, & whole wheat bread we are good to go.

Don't forget oatmeal. A one pot wonder. :)

I'll still go "eeewwwwwww", but will have to try that especially on toasted English Muffins which I have had for breakfast with peanut butter and jam. Of course on pancakes or waffles I like peanut butter and honey on them :lmao: You can either pre-cook your own bacon & store in a zip-lock bag, or go to Sam's & by the Hormel Black Label pre-cooked (which is what I do). Yep, and we do that often on the road, but we do that morning and I didn't consider it that quick as some of the other things we do.

Walmart sells pre-cooked sausage patties & pre-cooked eggs in the frozen food section. All I can say to pre-cooked eggs is "eeewwwwwwww" :rotfl2: I nuke 1 sausage & 1 egg patty at the same time for 90 seconds (wrap sausage in a paper towel), toast an english muffin, build your McMuffin w/slice of american cheese & nuke one more time for 15-20 secs to melt the cheese. Mmmm... Peanut Butter and Bacon - A perfect vacation treat! ::yes::

I'm bringing bagels/cream cheese, doughnuts, danish and fresh fruit (yeah, right!)

Love the idea of pre-cooking the bacon and sausage. Have to give that a shot in 3 weeks.

We normally take bagels, english muffins, fresh fruit, eggs in carton.

I just do simple breakfasts, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast bar, juice

My sweet wife tells me that toothpaste should be enough to hold me over til lunch.

Don't know when yer go'n,,BUT HAVE A GREAT TIME !!

We have bagels, english muffins and the good old easy danish set aside for breakfast. The kids won't be able to sit still long enough to make a very big breakfast..plus hey I'm on vaca so I don't really want to cook either

You can make omelets in a bag...

Bring along a large pot, fill it with water and bring it to a boil.
Take a gallon zip-lok freezer bag and crack two eggs into the bag. Put in any other ingredients that you like in your omelet in the bag along with the eggs. Squeeze and knead the bag to mix the ingredients. Place the bag into the boiling water for about 10 minutes. Remove the bag from the water, open it up and the omelet will fall into your plate.

Some of the ingredients we like to use are Oscar Myer precooked bacon bits, precooked sausage, cheese, onions, peppers, etc. Just make sure if you use meat, to cook it before putting it in the bag with the eggs. We like bacon and cheese omelets, so we use the Oscar Myer Real Bacon bits (like you would use on salads) and bagged shredded cheese.

The great thing about this, is that you can cook several at a time, just write each person's name on each bag. Everyone gets to eat at the same time. If you use paper plates, plastic forks, etc. there is very little to clean.

Hey thats what I had for breakfast this morning.

Of course the sad part is that I'm in my office right now and not at WDW. :sad1:
