What are Quick & Casual vouchers? I heard them mentioned on another thread. :confused3

Disney quick and casual meal vouchers used to be sold through Orlando ticket agencies but have been discontinued. The only way I know to get them now is to bid on e-bay. The original price for one voucher was $11.95 - now they go for outrageous prices ($20 US & up).

The vouchers are good for one meal, dessert and drink(non-alcoholic) or one main dish plus side order, dessert and drink.

ONLY if you are going to be dining at certain restaurants - at which you would order the most expensive meal, dessert and drink possible- are they worth it in my opinion. I tried bidding but was always outbid. I don't understand the hype when you would probably not get your money's worth at lunch, and maybe, and only maybe at dinnertime. But check it out - you may have a different opinion :)

Before you purchase any - if you were even thinking about it - check out the menus at allearsnet.com. You may find you'd be better off without them - I did.

They expire May 31, 2005 so make sure you don't bid if you're not going prior to this date.

Hope this helps :goodvibes

Thank you, I agree that they don't seem to be worth the money. My wife does a quite a bit of bidding on ebay and we are amazed that people will pay well over the value of an item to just win a bid!

Hotwire used to offer them at a discount, I think they were around $11.50 each and you still have to order the most expensive item on the menu and dessert to get your money back. I think I have one left that we will use prior to May 31st, but I never could see why anyone would purchase them for more than about $12.

There is a meal deal in Animal Kingdom that gets you a lunch and a snack/drink for one price, not sure the cost though.

$11.99/adult or $5.99 kids will get you a counter service meal with small nonalcoholic drink, plus a coupon for a box of popcorn or an ice cream, plus a coupon for a bottle of water or soda with the Meal Plus program at AK.

We did this last year and were happy with it. I wish all the parks offered this, really. :flower:
