Quick breakfast ideas on Atkins Induction?

Everything I've read talks about these great recipes. Well, Im not at all into cooking in the morning. Always grabbed a bowl of cereal or a granola bar. This morning, my first Induction day, I had 2 scrambled eggs with cheese. But other than that, what else can I have on Induction? Are there any Atkins breakfast bars that I can have at this time? Any other ideas? Also, I had a 6 oz. glass of tomato juice with breakfast-the highest in carbs of any item I had today. Any ideas of other drinks at breakfast? I could have Crystal Light, couldn't I?
 
I ate a lot of bacon at the beginning. I bought the pre-cooked kind and would have it with a hard-boiled egg or some cheese.

Also, consider eating dinner for breakfast. There are times I've had a hamburger patty or steak for breakfast.

Now I mostly eat yogurt for breakfast, but I don't think that's allowed on induction. I don't think tomato juice would be either, since tomatoes are high in carbs, but I don't like it so I've never actually checked.

I try to stay away from the bars as much as possible. I stall when I eat them. I've read that so many times from so many people. In a real pinch I would grab an Atkins shake before a bar.

Crystal light is fine. The pre-mixed kind is even sweetened with Splenda. :)
 
I usually eat a cheese omelet or mock danish every morning. I haven't seemed to get bored with them and usually don't get hungry until lunch.
 
Brown a pound of ground sausage
Scramble dozen eggs (do not cook)
add 1/2 bag of shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix all together.
Pour into muffin cups and cook in over at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until eggs are done.

Put one or two depending on appetite into sandwich size ziplock bags. Grab a bag in the morning and reheat in microwave for 1 minute.

I've also done this recipe with bacon and ham always good and fast!

I also hard boil eggs and eat that with a slice of American Cheese

I get tired of Eggs too - but I find that if we fix them different ways it helps. My husband does most of our cooking and fixes my lunches for work 4 days a week. 2 days he does 2 eggs scrambled for me before I leave. Other days he fixes me deviled or curried eggs or smoked salmon (lox style) with cream cheese roll-ups to take with me. On weekends I'll make a vegetable frittata (which microwaves well) or have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese - which used to be part of the induction diet and since has been revised off the induction list. Now that I'm done with induction...I like the cottage cheese but I still stay under 20 carbs per day. Other brunch items: tuna or chicken salad & half avocado or ham & cream cheese roll-ups.

Induction is only 2 weeks - but if you want to stay 20 carbs or less after that it isn't that hard. Be creative. Pick up Dana Carpender's low-carb cookbook - it's got some really great ideas, recipes and bread/desert options in it.
