Quick Birthday question for AP

I'm planning on getting an AP in early July, minding my birthday is on July 29. We are planning to go for my birthday and if I have my AP I was wondering what exactly you get and how does it all work? Help? lol

The Free On Your Birthday promotion does not entitle Guests holding Disneyland Resort Annual Passports or Multi-Day ParkHopper Tiickets to any sort of cash refund or credit.

Guests who are holding Disneyland Resort Annual Passports or valid Multi-Day ParkHopper Tickets are still invited to come celebrate their birthdays with us at The Happiest Place on Earth! In lieu of the Free Admission, these Guests will be able to choose one of the following alternative gifts:

• A Birthday Fun Card, in the value of a One-Day, One-Park Ticket (currently US$69.00), valid for use at select Disneyland Resort Merchandise Locations.
• A Birthday FastPass - a set of Disney's FastPass tickets valid for use at select Attractions in both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park. This option is not guranteed to be available after 11:00 AM Pacific Time.
• A complimentary One-Day, One-Park Ticket valid for entry at any time until the Guest's next birthday.

To take advantage of these Alternative Gifts, simply present your Disneyland Resort Annual Passport or valid Multi-Day ParkHopper Ticket at any Disneyland Resort Ticket Booth.

Please note that previously purchased One-Day, One-Park Tickets, as well as One-Day ParkHopper Tickets are not eligible for the alternative gifts.

I rec. going to Guest Services at DCA. No lines to speak of, unlike the ticket booths or City Hall at DL. We did this in Jan. with my neighbor and no one was wating. The ticket booth line was huge!

I got my birthday fun card at City Hall in DL yesterday and the CM did not ask me for any form of gov't ID and I didn't even think of it until later that day. I gave her the print out that DL emailed me, she scanned it, asked for my AP, scanned that. Asked again if I wanted the fun card, swiped the fun card to activate it and that's it. I don't know if they don't really need to since I have my AP and that has my name/picture on it, or the CM just forgot..
