Questions regarding site visits??

My husband and I are planning on having a VR for our 10th anniversary May 09. Since we have four young children I don't know if I can afford to take a trip down to check out the venues for the ceremony etc. Is this something you have to do? or When do you receive the Pkg with your AP's...after the trip is paid in full? Would it be possible to use the AP discount to travel on to check out the venues?

I have received the planning DVD and browsed the sites and have loved reading through all of your PJ's.

Congrats on your upcoming vow renewal, Always_learning. You do not need to make a special trip to WDW in order to plan your event. Everything can be handled via the telephone and e-mail. The FTW folks have been doing this for years and they truly have planning down to a science, have no fear.

For my 20th wedding anniversary, I celebrated with a custom (wishes) VR. If you'd like to read about what I went through as I planned it, click here. I'm also planning on celebrating my 25th anniversary with a VR; however, I'm not sure what sort just yet.

As to your question about the AP vouchers, I believe I received mine pretty late in the game. I was already an AP holder when they were given to me, so the vouchers didn't get turned into real passes until the year after my FTW VR.
