Questions Regarding Disapalooza

So... where's the best place to pick up some lime green shirts? Pooh size for me, Misses 12 for my BFF. :thumbsup2 Home Depot is OUT of the lime green Mickey paint cards. :scared1: How many of us ARE there on the west coast????:confused3

We found lime green t-shirts last year at Michael's or AC Moore - one of them had good t-shirts, the other lots of fabric markers.

:cloud9: I am on cloud nine right now. DH just surprised me and signed us up for DAP even though we will just have been to WDW the week before. Once I heard the Podcast about Marty Sklar speaking on Friday, I gave DH the "puppy dog eyes" and the rest is history. :rotfl:

We haven't participated in any "official" DISMeets or Events in the past. But, we did travel on a Disney Cruise with a great bunch of DISers two years ago after getting involved in a Cruise Meet Thread. I still keep in contact with our DIStravelers and we are planning on sailing together again on one of the new ships in 2012. Once you meet DISers in person, their friends for life.

Come one, come all ... singles, couples, families. This is going to be a great weekend. I can't wait!!!! :woohoo:

We are leaving DS9 and DD6 home for this trip due to school. We will have DS4 in tow. DS4 got one of those Toy Story Mania shooters last year and goes around the house shooting everything. Also, he's a pro at the new Wii game. He's going to have a blast at the party! I'm debating on whether to tell the older children where we are going before the trip. Then again, they would have just gotten back from a WDW trip and can't complain too much.

:goodvibes Jennifer

I am on the same boat as you we are going to be down for Turkey day as well and now I just booked DAP - Gonna surprise DD12 (she is only gonna miss 1 day of school for it) I have never been to a DIS event before and I'm super excited! I hope my daughter and I both make lots of new friends!!!

:teleport: It's funny you should ask that ... DH and I talked about this a few minutes ago. Do you know if people will have their children with them or should I get a sitter? DS4 actually loves World Showcase. However, I didn't want to be the only people with a child in tow. What was it like last year?

I saw your thread ... Over 100 people already signed-up!!!!! :scared1: That is amazing!

:goodvibes Jennifer

TheTXTTaylors5, I'm gonna do DATW and I am bringing my DD12 She loves little kids (she has 6 & 2yr old cousins who she just adores) and world showcase too! I'm sure she could keep your DS4 entertained!!

Jumping in to say hello and that I will happily be coming to my very first DIS event ever! :) :) :) I have made many good friends via the boards but haven't been lucky enough to be part of a big meet *yet*. I will be at DAP with my 13 year old son (we are leaving dad and his three brothers at home for a special mom and me birthday trip). I am really looking forward to the trip and especially the DAP events. Will anyone else have a 12-14 year old child in tow?

Oh and it's great to 'meet' ya'll! :thumbsup2

:flower3: Thanks for the assurance we wouldn't be the only ones with a child. However, we're still on the fence ... :upsidedow I'll keep you posted! :wizard:

Another solo traveler here and I am so excited about DAP! Are there threads for the other unofficial events? ...I found and signed up for DATW and want to go to everything I can including MVMCP on the 13th. This thread has put any fears I had to rest about being solo...I'm a joiner and have no trouble meeting people...sounds like no one will be solo for long!

Let me introduce myself...I'm Pam, mom of Owen (11) and wife of Graeme - who both love Disney as well. I am celebrating a milestone b-day at the end of November and DH said "why don't you go for your birthday present?" So, while I won't be there on my actual birthday, I will be celebrating in style at WDW!!! Just working on how to break it to DS...

WELCOME, WELCOME!! We're glad to have you aboard! :dance3: What a great gift!! I can't wait to meet you!

Okay, I just got off the fence after reading that some other parents will be bringing their kids to the TSM party and signed both myself and my 7-year old up. He's never been on TSM so he's going to be thrilled. Can't wait!

If it helps you to jump off the fence, I'm bringing my two DSs to the TSM party. 12 & 7. I call them my escorts for the weekend, as having them with me will ensure that I stay out of too much trouble. :lmao:

Hi, I'm in NC as well. I'm bringing my 7 year old too. Any thoughts on how to keep them awake that late? I guess introducing coffee at this age is kind of wrong.;)

In the words of the great Bob Varley, take a nap :teeth:

Mine don't have any problems staying up late, it's in their blood. They don't sleep unless told to do so. It's crazy. But then they crash-HARD!

But naps work (for me,too!)
