Questions regarding dining reservations

Hello! I am currently planning a trip to the World, and am getting the regular dining plan. I have made reservations for our table service meals. I have an adult niece who may/may not go; she says she is going, but has been known to change her mind at the last minute, lol. If I go ahead and make reservations for 6 at my table service restaurants, and she ends up not going, what will happen when we go to eat? Will she be charged anyway (say, for character dining experiences)? Or will it not matter if our reservations have one less person than they expected?

Last question, really more to clarify--my great-nephew will be 2 1/2 when we go. I have read that he will eat off of an adult's plate, but I do need to include him in the reservation. Do I have this information correct?

Thank you so much for your help; planning this trip is helping me get through these cold winter days! :goodvibes

If your niece ends up not going, you will not be charged a no show fee for her as long as others show up for the reservation. Just inform the CM at check in that there will be one less guest.

You are correct that the 2 1/2 yo is to be included in the count even though he won't be charged :).

Make your reservations for the maximum number of people who might be at the table. It is always easier to show up with fewer than try and add a person later or at the podium. You will not be charged for the missing person as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation. If you have any pre-paid reservations (CRT, dinner shows), however, you can call and get a refund if she decides not to come.

Everyone needs to be included on the reservations because of fire and safety code rules.
