Questions RE: CC

At the risk of sounding like a big whiney baby:

Although I truly enjoyed Castaway Cay, the heat was absolutely unbearable for me. It wasn't just the sun, but the actual temp. I did everything I could to avoid heat stroke, but still became sick from the heat.

Are there chairs with umbrellas on Serenity Bay? How long are we supposed to stay at CC? Is there a way I can enjoy CC in the morning and then go back to the ship? Will there be anything for me to do if I'm allowed to go back on at Noon or 1:00?

Of course you can go back to the ship if you want to.

You don't even have to get <i>off</i> the ship if you don't want to - CC isn't compulsory

There won't be a full range of activities like a day at sea, but there will still be some stuff to do and food to eat if you stay/go back on board

I know it sounds like a big ol' bag of "DUH", but seriously, when we went to CC it just felt like we were SUPPOSED to stay off the ship. No, REALLY.

Anyway's, I bet there are umbrella's down at Serenity Bay. I can't remember. I only visited Serenity Bay for a few minutes to check it out since I have kid's and couldn't go there with them. But I had to at least see it. I wish I could have hung out there for awhile. It was nice.

So now you know you can do anything your little heart desires.

On one of my 4 day cruises, my friend and I had enough beach after a couple of hours so we went back to the ship after an early lunch at cookies.

We had a blast on the ship, it was so quiet and relaxing.. we had Quiet Cove to ourselves.. we went on a Art of the Theme Tour, saw a movie.. it was a great day.

yes there are umbrellas at the adult beach. It was so nice there. My DH and I spent most of the day with our beach chairs pulled right into the edge of the water. We did not even notice the heat! We were there in August also, so it was a hot sunny day. Just beautiful. Also, I never though it was mandatory to get off the ship either. We were back on ship at about 3 and there were plenty of other people on the ship before us. Its your vacation just sit back an relax were ever you want to be!

On our first cruise Feb of 2000 they warned us of high ultraviolet rays for us northerners. My responce was "I don't care I am from Chicago and I want to shovel snow with a sunburn!" LOL..............We had no problem findind an umbrella at the family beach.
