Questions...I've got questions...

I have to be honest. I don't do ice baths. I do however, take a long shower with just cold water and use "The Stick". This works for me, but then I haven't been farther than 14.2 miles. :ssst:

Okay, ice bath and now a STICK? I read somewhere about Dave using a rolling pin. I'm guessing these are used to massage muscles or ?? This just keeps getting more complicated! :scared1:

Tell me more, would ya, Steffwalks? I've got a hunch I'm going to need an ice bath, a stick AND a bucket full of miracles to be able to move after the 1/2!

So, really, a good nap just won't do it, huh?!

Thanks, Renee, for the input about the IllumiNations cruise. I loved Wishes at DL. My husband, my two teenage daughters and I watched it next to a young couple with two little girls dressed up in princess dresses. I reassured them that your daughters are NEVER too old to share magic Disney moments!

:goodvibes

I'll be honest...the only time I have ice-bathed was after my first half marathon. Now that the weather is pretty cool around here - just below freezing on my longest 15 mi run - I don't bother. I'm cool enough during the run, and once I stop running I am ridiculously cold. I don't want to toe the line with hypothermia so no ice baths for me. I need a hot shower to warm up once I'm done. :cold:

I just bought a Stick yesterday(2 day ship) so should be here tomorrow. I bought the "Marathoner". The link is http://www.thestick.com . It was $29.99 plus $19 for 2 day ship. I plan to start working daily with it tomorrow. I have heard great things about it from friends on another email list.

Worse thing I can use it for is beating Dave in Jan:rotfl2:

The Stick, is a stick with lots of little rollers on it and it massages your muscles, but you don't have to pay a masseuse, you just have to use it. I have the travel size and the marathon one. You can find pictures of them on most running websites. www.runningwarehouse.com has one and you can probably use the wish discount, you can find it under accessories for recovery.

I don't ice bathe. I cold tub. Our tap water is pretty cold, though. At WDW, you will want to add ice. EVen a dip in the pool helps, though.

Illuminations Cruise - LOVED it!!! Present to dh last year. I didn't think it was smoky at all. Just wonderfully up close and personal. Plus, you get a brief toodles around in teh water first. :thumbsup2

Okay, I have been initiated into the Ice Bathers! I did an ice bath after my 9 miles today. I think the top of my feet have frostbite! But if it helps me feel better, I'm all for it. I did get an interesting look from my DD as I headed upstairs with the ice!
