These may be silly questions, but since we have never been on a DVC trip yet, we just don't know and figured it can't hurt to ask.

1) Which kind of coffee filters do the coffee machines take? The round or the cone shaped? Will those Maxwell House filter packs work in them?

2) We check-in at the regular Boardwalk check-in desk, yes? The villas don't have their own check-in area, do they?

3) Are the sleeper sofas queen size in a 2BR? Full size? We're trying to decide whether to pack an air mattress so it would be more comfortable for DFiL

4) Any advice regarding a 1.5yo at WDW?

More silly questions to come! ;) I need to think about what the rest of them were...

Thanks, guys!!!

The coffee makers use round filters. The filter packs work just fine. We usually buy the Maxwell House brand for our trips.

There is only one check-in area and it serves both the BWI and the BWV.

The sleeper sofa in the living room is a queen size. The one in the second bedroom is a full size.

Bring your own stroller - one that is comfortable for sleeping and has a canopy for shade. Plan to do things at his/her pace.

Enjoy your trip! My Dh and I had a great time with our two nephews (5 yrs and 16 mo)!

When we were shown the model of VWL at Boardwalk, the 2nd bedroom had two double beds - but from your answer, you seem to be implying that at Boardwalk, the second bed in the 2BR is only a pull out sofa. Is that true? And if so, is that true of *all* the 2BRs at Boardwalk, or only some?

Hi, JonHM,

At the BWV, all of the studios and the second bedrooms have 1 queen size bed and 1 sleeper sofa that is double sized. I know that there are some 2 bedrooms at the VWL that have two beds, but that is not the case at BWV. Hope that doesn't mess up any of your plans. I personally thought the sofa beds were comfortable - but YMMV.

I've thought of another silly question for everybody- we'll be there for 4 nights, 5 days - should we get LOS passes with the 10% DVC discount, or 5 day park hoppers with the 5% DC discount? I'm not certain, but I believe that they come out to almost the same price. Is there a big convenience factor in having LOS passes - I know that Park Hoppers would be better if we were going to do other stuff in Orlando, but I am 90% positive that each of us will be in the parks every day that we are there, so I don't *think* that the lack of expiration date should be an issue.

Oh, and by the way, Thanks Carol for your responses above - you have been extremely helpful.

5- day PH (adult) with tax = $230.02

5-day PH with two Plus options (adult) with tax = $261.84

5 Day LOS pass with 10%DVC discount incl tax = $237.55

The above price info is from Deb Wills' site (couldn't get to DIS info for some reason), but I believe her site reflects current prices.

LOS pass includes unlimited admission to DisneyQuest, PI, WWOS and the waterparks during your stay.

Each plus option is good for one admission to any of the waterparks, WWOS or Pleasure Island. Plus options do not expire. Plus options DO NOT INCLUDE DisneyQuest.

Based on what you said, I'd recommend the LOS pass. You might want to visit PI or one of the waterparks (or even DisneyQuest) during your stay. But since you have a little one, maybe not. If there is NO chance you will visit DisneyQuest, any of the waterparks, WWOS or PI, then I would go with the "plain" 5 day hopper pass.

You will likely get more opinions on which pass to buy if you post it as a separate thread. Many of the ticket-knowledgable posters probably aren't interested in BWV 2 bedroom info. LOL!

We've always bought LOS passes until this year. This year a DVC member who also is a CM at my local Disney Store convinced me to buy PH passes. Her reasoning was the PH days never expire, and if the weather was really crummy, or someone was ill, and we didn't go to the park one day we would still have that day to use on a subsequent trip. Since we also have the DC discount it made sense to me. Bought them with the incentive they were offering back in November, so I got the $50 gift cards and free shirts too!

18 days and counting 'till we go home!!!!:D

I just wanted to make the comment that we usually bring an inflatable air mattress when we stay in a 1 BR or 2 BR unit at the DVC resorts. We place the mattress on top of the springs and then put the thin mattress that is already on the sofa on top of the inflatable mattress. I bring fitted sheets from home when we do this. This makes a very comfortable bed!

and the two sofa beds are different sizes? The one in the LR is a queen, and the one in the 2nd BR is a full?

I just came back from a weekend at a studio at BW, where I slept on the sofa bed. I was kind of concerned about it, but found it to be as comfortable as a bed, with a thick mattress that looked about the same as bed-size. It was a pleasant surprise.

We always take extension cords with multi plug ends for the camcorder charger and other misc stuff.

Night lights are nice for the bathroom or finding your way into the kids room.

We take a portable CD player and small speakers.

I'm packing a zip lock bag with critical spices, salt - pepper - garlic etc.
