Questions I Ponder

And Little Bear - remember the book where he makes such a big deal about needing clothes to play in the snow and then after all his mother's hard work making pants, coat and hat - he decides that he is warm enough in his "fur coat" -- he never wore clothes any other time - why his mother gave in to that I will never understand.

::yes:: We have that book and the doll. I don't get it either. :confused3

I want to know why I opened this thread? :confused3

I now have a plethora of questions about shows that I didn't watch. I will have to have DDs watch these and also try to figure out what the hell is going on with the shows/movies we do watch.

thanks ;)
My burning question is why burt and ernie have no parents?

now Max and Ruby have grandma.....but no parents and gramma does not live with them.......but Ruby is not old enough to be a grownup .....cause she was in girlscouts the other day......so whats going on here

How about the smurfs? Smurfette is the only girl. Where did all the other surfs come from? Are she and papa smurf having a Hef type thing going on? Is she just "socailly available" with all the boy smurfs?

How does the grill work in the Krusty Krab?
Why does Spongebob have to clean the bathrooms underwater?
What are those weird flower clouds?
Why doesn't Spongebob's pineapple rot under the water?
How do Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy breathe under there? Are they from Atlantis?
Other than those two superheroes why are ther no other human looking characters?

I wonder what is in the plastic cups the kids always have in their hands in the hot tub and pool scenes on Laguna Beach. And if it is what I suspect it is, why aren't all of the parents in jail?

I also wonder how the heck these 16 and 17 year old kids go to Mexico for the weekend to bar hop? WTH?

Okay, final one...I REALLY want to know how I can stop thinking about the spoiled rich kids on Laguna Beach? I am so pathetic!

Okay - why doesn't someone take Curious George away from the man in the yellow hat? He always disappears just when George is about to ruin someone's livelihood. Then, he shows back up and no one gets on his case about neglecting his monkey.

Dragon Tales - where are these kids parents? Don't they know that their kids are missing from their rooms for long periods of time? And do they ever play anywhere but their room? :confused3

I always wondered about Max and Ruby also!!

What about Dora she is portrayed as a 4-5yr old!
Why is a 4-5yr old exploring on her own??? :confused3

Heaven help me - and I hate to admit I know this - but Krabby Patties are actually made of plankton - it was discovered in one episode. Plankton was horrified to find out.

No, Mr Krabs had a fake recipe so that if/when Plankton ever found it, he would be freaked out. The REAL secret formula is under his mattress.

Lots of cartoon characters never had parents. Like Charlie Brown (at least we never saw them), but Max and Ruby really bothered me too.

Why do the Rugrats' parents leave them with Grandpa all the time when he falls asleep and loses them every time? :confused3

No, here I draw the line. It's been established that Charlie Brown's father is a barber. In the sequence, just reprinted, where Sally is born, Charlie Brown talks about his mother going to the hospital, and he has to spend a few days at Grandma's.

::yes::

Also, how old is Maisy? She lives alone, yet plays in a sandbox and has toys. Are Boris and Barbara Bear siblings or husband and wife? Are Gus and Grandma Spider married, or is Gus her son?

If, as the theme song says, no one's lazy in LazyTown, then why is it called that?

Shouldn't it be called "NOT-Lazytown"?

From what I can gather, everyone used to be lazy in Lazytown until Stephanie turned up. Now she's trying to change that by getting them active and eating healthier.

The thing about Max and Ruby is that they have a grandmother who obviously doesn't care that poor Ruby is taking care of her brother.

On "Bear in the Big Blue Horse" is the little bear (I can't remember if it's a boy or a girl or what his/her name is) related to Bear? What about Tutter's parents? His Grandma visits, but where are his parents? Did Bear catch them in a trap?

I've also wondered about the Dragon Tales kids & how long they disappear, and that no-one seems to notice.

And just who are Huey, Dewey and Louie's parents? Not to mention Mortie and Ferdie?

Donald's sister, Dumbella. Morty and Ferdy's mother was Mrs. Fieldmouse.

Did you see the Robert Smigel cartoon on SNL featuring the Smurfs in a spoof of Anna Nicole Smith's show? Hilarious. Imagine an overweight, foul-mouthed, kinda goofy Smurfette. We were just rolling. It answers many of your questions.

This thread cracks me up - how sad that I actually understand all these frustrations!!!

Nobody has mentioned Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Adventures. Maybe nobody watches it cuz it's full of bugs?? We know that Miss Spider is kind and has adopted some buggies that aren't spiders, but don't spiders eat bugs? How can all these bugs live together without wanting to munch on each other? :confused3 Are you telling me that Miss Spider is perfectly happy eathing acorns?!

:rotfl2: Every time we watch it together, dd has to pause it constantly to explain everything to me. I can never tell the girls apart--for some reason they all look alike to me. And they definitely sound alike--none of them can put a coherent sentence together, "Like, you know, like..."

Ah yes, and then there's the Thanksgiving special where we must assume mom and/or dad are driving that station wagon to Grandma's.

Okay I can't believe I haven't seen this one yet:
If Goofy and Pluto are both dogs, why does Goofy talk, wear clothes and drive a car, but Pluto doesn't??

:goofy: pluto:

Thank you. Boy, that's one less thing off my mind.

And yet...do they have fathers? Or are things different on Planet Disney? You never know.
