Questions from Disney planning DVD

Hi everybody,

I've actually never watched the Disney planning DVD. Oh the shock, the horror, the shame!

But I gave a copy of it to my parents, who are going to spend a couple days at WDW with me this December, and they saw a couple things that interested them, and I can't for the life of me figure out what some of these were! So I'm hoping that some of you who watch the video occasionally to get a Disney fix might have a clue for me. (Me, I feed my Disney obsession with pinpics.com, ebaying pins, reading TourGuideMike, you get the picture.)

The two things they saw that I can't figure out, and that didn't seem to be named in the video:

1) Some race-car driving thing. It sounded at first like Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, but then they said it didn't seem like it was targeted at little kids. Hmm.

2) A boat ride in the Magic Kingdom. I'm wondering, could that have been a specialty cruise? My mom loves boats, and I'm sure she'd be happy even just taking the ferry from the TTC, but it sounds like there was something else and she couldn't figure out what.

Any clues or ideas would be appreciated, since I don't think I'll have the chance to sit down and watch the DVD with them anytime soon.

Seeing how my kids watch our Disney planning DVD about 3 or 4 times a week, I've got some images popping in my head...


The race cars could be Test Track at Epcot. That would be my best guess.

Hmmm....boat ride at the Magic Kingdom? I think the DVD touches upon the Magical Fireworks Voyage so that could be it. Or maybe it's the Paddlewheel boat?

Liberty Bell Riverboat I'm assuming is the MK boat - although for all I know it could be Small World or Pirates

And I would say Test Track as well, unless they're talking about the actual licensed racing behind the Polynesian.

Maybe it is the indy cars that have the metal track down the middle in tomorrowland. Little Kids can steer but they cant reach the gas to make them move.

The boat maybe the Steam Boat ride in Frontier land?? My kids think it's boring but adults enjoy.

Race Car Driving thing could it be the Richard Petty Driving Experence? Or Test Track as said above.

Boat at MK-There is a boats the goaround by the Haunted Mansion. Or Jungle Cruise?

I viewed the second DVD, I think it's the actual planning and all it has are still photo's of the hotels! There's NO menu to scroll down I've tried and tried. The last DVD I got a couple of years ago was so much better as it had a map and I though it had a better format for planning.

Am I maybe doing something wrong that I can't "find" anything else but photo's of each hotel? (Plus the photo's are REALLY boring)

Hi,
DS2 watches the video EVERY day so I practically have it memorized!!!!!
The cars they are referring to is the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
The boats must be the little sprites (think sea-doo) you can rent at the contemporary.
Watch the DVD in the recreation section- that is where all of this is.
