Questions from a possible PI.

Hello everyone I would first like to say this is my first time visiting these forums so if I make a mistake please forgive me.

I was a Spring 2009 CP @ DAK. So, with that being said I am familiar with most of the procedures for a Disney Intern however I was wanting the opinions of others who have had similar experiences.

I received my first telephone call from a Disney rep today and with that we setup my(what I assume is first) interview. I am being Interviewed for a position in Information Technology.

So with the possibility of returning to Disney I had a couple of questions.

1. Will PIs be allowed to live in Disney sponsored housing. I lived in Vistaway before so I am use to the general area.

2. Will PIs be allowed to use the bus systems that are also used by CPs, because to be honest I don't want to bring a car.

3. What are some of the possible locations I could be working in if I receive the position in Information Technology.

Again if I am not allowed to post such information here I'm sorry. Also if anyone just has some advice relating to the PI experience VS, that of a CP feel free to share.

2. No, you are responsible for your own transportation as a PI.

3. Not quite familiar with this role, hopefully somebody can help!

Unfortunately, this information is out of date. The new policy went into effect for Spring 2009.

1. Disney has very limited housing - true! However, PIs are now housed in Patterson. It works on a lottery system so even if you request housing you may not get it and would need to make other arrangements.

2. If you are lucky and get housing, then yes you can utilize the buses using your housing ID.

3. When would this role start? I'm not familiar with any PIs recruiting right now, the fall PIs start within the week. Is this a special program? Are you sure it's a PI program or is it just an internship (there is a difference)?

Thank you for the info this is a lot closer to what I was wanting to hear

My PI would start in August and End in December I was told. Also I applied for it through the PI website. Other than that, I am very limited on info.
