Questions about using DVC points at the Grand Californian?

Can anyone tell me how you can use your WDW DVC points to stay at the Grand Californian at Disneyland and the points needed?

Just like you would any other DVC reservations. Call the DVC toll free member numbers and just let them know that you want to stay at the Grand Cal. and the exact dates needed. On the dvcmember website you can find the pts. for the different times of year along with the different types of view. Not sure if the 2009 pts are out yet for GC. But for 2008:

Depends on room views and of course M-Th and Fr-Sat (per night pts)
Super Value pts from 23-67
Value pts from 24-70
Reg. pts from 30-87
Peak pts from 33-93

From least to most pts req: There is Standard view, Downtown Disney View, DGC Ad. Park or Pool View, Concierge-Garden View, Concierge-GC Park or Pool View. Remember once, you convert pts to be used at the GC...if changed your mind...you cannot use them again at the reg. DVC home resorts.
