We will have 3 adults and 2 kids in our party and it seems that the great feast platter at Three Broomsticks would be enough for all of us. Would we be required to pay the extra $12.5 for an extra portion since there are 5 people or do they not care? Also I read some reports that it comes with chicken halves and others that say chicken legs - which is it or do you get to choose?

Thanks

I don't think you have to order for all the people. I've seen the remains of that feast where people obviously ordered for every person, and it seems like there's a third of the food left on the table.

No, you don't need to pay for an extra portion, unless you want an extra portion. We fed 2 adults, and 3 tweens who were the size of adults off of the regular feast, no extra portions added, and we had food leftover. The only thing to remember is when you go to pick up the food, you need to ask for an extra plate, as it will only come with 4. We've shared a number of meals at The Three Broomsticks and never had an issue with getting extra plates or bowels.

As for the chicken, I can't remember what type it was, but I know there was some type of white meat included as I don't eat dark meat. It was either a combination or they were chicken breasts. Sorry, can't remember exactly, I'm not a big meat eater and paid more attention to the vegetables which I really enjoyed. The kids are little carnivores, so it disappeared fast, and I only paid attention long enough to get a breast. I don't think you get to choose, but it cant hurt to ask politely. All they can do is say no.

We recently did this for the first time. It was me, college son, high school son and daughter eating. We left a fair amount uneaten. Mostly vegetables. The salad for starters was huge. Had to keep going back to ask for more dressing as the bowl never seemed to go down.

The meats were good. We all portioned those out (at least one rib and one piece of chicken per person). Then there was a sea of grilled veggies, potatoes and corn. They were tasty. I made sure to try to eat as much as I could before leaving the table.

A family sat down next to us with the platter, and they had mom, dad and two small girls. They made a comment like it might have been a mistake (only in the wasteful sense) when they saw my big sons struggling to finish.

Sounds perfect and a great deal. My husband and I never really eat at the parks since we have APs and leave when it gets busy (usually by 11). In this trip with my brother-in-law and his family we will be staying all day to get their money's worth of one day at each park.

The chicken is both a thigh/leg piece or a breast. If you are ordering for 4 people you get two of each type.

It's my Dad's favorite meal at the park, although after the first one we learned to order for one less than the party size. So for a party of five, just order for four people.
