We've always done the dining plan for WDW and are looking at a quick 4 day trip in October for the halloween party and are thinking of the 3 day dining option. What can anybody tell me about the good or the bad of DIsneylands option!? Also can breakfast in the park be applied to say for example white water snack or the bakery?? Thanks for any help and/or opinions with this!

DL is wayyyy different from WDW. They are basically just a book of prepaid coupons. You do NOT get change back, and if you go over the amount for the voucher you either waste another, or pay out of pocket the difference. Also DTD does NOT take them so dining there you will need to pay. Another thing is the candy store on Main Street, and Poohs corner does not take them. We ended up with ones left. We will not be using the plan this time.

lostgirlz said it all!

There are some who like it, because it's a way to pre-pay their food, which is a good budgeting tool. I personally like putting that money aside into savings, and buying disney giftcards for most of our food expenses (most of the stand-alone carts do not take cards and some just can't take giftcards), and in that way we pre-pay.

But it's really not much of a savings, if a savings at all.

I thought I would bump this up since i'm not sure if you meant to ask this question twice or if it was a double post.
