I finally got my kids to eat more than pizza, chicken nuggets and grilled cheese by taking them to a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse. They love watching the cook, and will eat shrimp and even fried rice.
With that in mind, we have reservations at Teppan Edo. But I have some questions. First, is it Hibachi style with the cooks preparing your meal at the table? It sure appears that way, but I wanted to make sure. Second, do they have fried rice or can you get fried rice? From the on-line menus, it looks like there is steamed rice, but I wonder if you can get fried rice. My kids love it and it would be nice if Teppan Edo served it.
Thanks in advance.

We know them as Teppanyaki style restaurants here. Although there are many of these types of restaurants where we live, we are looking forward to Teppan Edo. It's one of the few places that my DD can have steamed white rice, which is her favorite and a staple with almost every meal in Hawaii. She may go through withdrawls, if we can't have steamed white rice at least once during our trip.
