Questions about staying at Universal and our plan...

We were planning on spending 2 nights at Universal at the beginning of our vacation in Oct/Nov, but to take advantage of the free dining offer (ended up saving about $1200 total) we had to move our Disney stay up a day - thereby cutting a night out of our Universal stay.

So, my question is this...

If we stay 1 night and buy a 2 day park to park pass, will we receive the Express pass for both of those days? We will be staying at one of the Universal hotels - probably PBH.


Also - this is my plan for those 2 days... how does it sound?

Weds.
Arrive in Orlando ~7am and be at Universal by ~8am
Check in and either take our stuff to our room or have bell services hold it
Head over to IoA by 9am and do WWoHP until it gets too busy and then hop over to US
Dinner at Margaritaville and early to bed... we'll be pooped!

Thurs.
~7am check out and have bell services hold our luggage
be at WWoHP for early entry
breakfast at the 3 broomsticks at 9:30
IoA until it gets too busy and then either hop over to US or head to Disney


OH... one more question about Halloween Horror Nights - we will be there the week of halloween.

Are these usually held only at one of the parks or both? If only at one, then does the other park stay open later or do they both close at the same time?

What should we expect with that?

Those plans look good. You will get express for both days with your one's night onsite stay. You are correct about your HHN assumptions. However, the other park doesn't stay open much longer. Usually until 7. Keep checking the website for operating hours. October's hours are up.
