Questions about Sea World from Anaheim?

Hi! We are going to be in DL 10-29-11 through 11-5-11, and we thought that we would finally try and make it to Sea World on one of those days. My questions are...

1) Is a tour company the best way to go about this if we won't have a car? I found online www.allanaheimtours.com has a Sea World tour that p/ups at hotel at 8:45, takes you to Sea World for 6.5 hours, and brings you back to your hotel by 8:15. The price was $69.89 which was transportation and admission into Sea World. How does this sound?

Because it is a relatively long drive, I want to make sure it is comfortable, especially with a 10yo DD. Any input is appreciated, as this is a new adventure for us!

Admission to Sea World is $62, so you found a fantastic offer, because you're basically getting the nearly 200 mile round trip ride for about $8 (not to mention saving the $12 parking fee). The only downside is that it cuts your park day pretty short.

I think you can see a lot of Sea World in 6 hours, but you'll have to plan carefully what you're going to leave out because you definitely can't see it all in that amount of time.


NOTE to others reading this post: the $62 I quoted above is if you purchase a 2 day park ticket ONLINE (at the gate its $70). Oddly, the single day online or at the gate is $70....but then for that same $70 online or at the gate you can also get a 7 day pass. They are definitely encouraging you to stay more days, lol.

Thanks Connie! At first I also thought that 6.5 hours sounded like a short amount of time, but because of it being late Oct., during the week they are only open 10-5, so we are only missing 30 min. of time in the park. I guess for a first visit, this will give us a good experience and a good idea of what we want to do next time. Thanks again, and I guess I better grab that offer that I found!
