I am wondering if anyone knows if the girls wear princess costumes to dinner, shows, etc. I want to bring some, but am not sure if it's worth the packing? I don't want to end up paying tons at the gift shop onboard!

Also, anyone know where I can get comfortable princess costumes that aren't so itchy?? If my daughter will be wearing them to dinner/shows, etc. she might be uncomfortable with it on that long!:sad2:

You will see TONS of girls in princess dresses. During the day for autographs, and at supper time..
I would bring my own.
No idea on where to get less itchy ones. My DD wore a bodysuit underneath:)

Ditto what Mommasita said.

My granddaughter wore a different princess dress each night to dinner. She really thought she was "special" and isn't that what its all about anyway?

DD wouldn't let us get on the ship without her case of costumes. :) I enjoy looking at the pictures of her with the princesses in her as the mini princess. Her smile when they make a fuss over her dress is priceless & worth the extra packing.

Our little princess couldn't possibly travel without her wardrobe! :rotfl: Here's some pic's - the princesses LOVE to see the little girls dressed like them!

I sent my DD with her grandfather to buy a crown at the gift store. When they returned from shopping she was wearing a Cinderella Costume with all of the trimmings. It was semi-formal night and she asked if she woulc whear it to dinner and she did. Everyone loved it and she fit right in with the other girls in their princess costumes. It is a nice touch to add to the cruise.

My son on the other hand was happier with his pirate costume for pirate night.

That is just priceless! I'm so happy to have a little girl. :cloud9: I bought her a full set of princess costumes on DisneyShopping last week; by our 09/27/08 cruise she might even fit into them! :rotfl:

I'm only bringing one costume for my daughter to wear on semi formal night

I'm taking some for my daughter. She has 4 (I think) right now. As someone else said, a bodysuit underneath helps them not be so scratchy. I found a few after Halloween '06 and they were sooo soft. Guess it just depends on where you buy them.

Our dd has no problem with them being itchy, but I have seen some for sale on ebay that do not have the tulle underneath. They are marked "sensitive" as they are supposed to be good for those with sensitive skin. They looked pretty cute, but I noticed more bidding on those items. Good luck!

Sorry, I forgot to give you my alternative for princess dresses. DD has a light blue gown that is her Cinderella costume. I bought it on Ebay for a lot less than the costumes. The seller is angelickids.

My DD6 wore a different princess dress to dinner every night when we sailed this past September. She loved it! (She also wears a long sleeved leotard with her itchy costumes.) :goodvibes

my daughter as an appt. at the bibbidi bobbidi boutique before the cruise so i told her she could wear her dress on the cruise for dinner one night (it gives me an excuse for spending that kind of money)
