When ordering from Amazon Prime Now, how long does it take from the time of ordering, to the arriving of your order? Is it brought to your room, or do you have to haul it up? Would someone please put See Spot Run type instructions on how to order and what to expect?
Thanks.

I ordered the night before my trip, so that I wouldn't have to deal with it the day of, when you do that, they give you a 2 hr delivery window. I instructed them to deliver it to the front desk because there was a good chance I wouldn't have been checked in yet at my hotel. I'd double check with your hotel, because I'm sure different hotels have different procedures on this kind of stuff. Desert inn and Suites was fine with it as long as I was checking in at some point that day. But my chosen delivery window was from 2pm-4pm, but we didn't get to the hotel until 5pm, and it was waiting for us behind the counter, so we had to bring it to the room.

I figure it probably works simular to having a pizza delivered to the room if you're already checked in, some hotels want you to get it from the lobby, and some hotels are okay with the delivery guy bringing it to the door.

Now, a word of advice, on Prime now, there's stuff supplied by Amazon and stuff supplied by Whole Foods. If you pick items from each, they're put into seperate carts, which means you have to check out twice and meet the minimum free shipping for each (or pay the fee). I just filtered my searches for stuff from Amazon and did one checkout. Other than that, it's pretty smooth sailing and easy to do. If you buy something needing refrigeration, they'll bag those items together and put them into an insulated bag to keep them items cold longer.

Thank you very much for this! Especially to keep notice of where the item(s) are from; Amazon or Whole Foods. This is good to know! You are awesome. I know your answer will help many who are deciding to place an order.

I am doing this very thing right now! I see I will have more luck with Whole Foods items. If I have items that need to be in the insulated bag, do I need to return it?

I don't believe so, they look more like a single use item. At least I hope not, because I tossed mine :)

I pressed send while I was stepping on the flight. When I got their the order was waiting for us in the lobby along with our rented stroller. Easy experience!

Ooh what is prime now? What kind of items did you guys order? Food stuff?

It's like a delivery service that operates on a 2-3 hour time window I think? We were staying for a week, so we had amazon deliver some supplies for the week (Diapers, wipes, sunscreen, bananas, apple sauce, bagels, water, juice etc)

If you're already a member of Amazon Prime, you can use Prime Now for delivery of a variety of items to your hotel or residence (depending if you're in one of their delivery areas). They deliver to the Disneyland area, not sure about others since I always stay close/on property.

They deliver a selection of items you'd find in your local grocery store, as well as alcohol. But also stuff like electronics (e.g., if you lose your charger cable), clothing, beauty and personal care, household and pet items, etc. The easiest way to see what's available is to check their website at primenow.amazon.com.

There's no delivery charge if your order totals $35 or more. The delivery charge is $5 if your order is under $35.

If you want a 1-hour delivery window instead of the standard 2-hour window, there's a $5 charge. Note this doesn't necessarily mean you will receive your order 1 hour after you place it; it means you choose from various 1-hour windows during which your order will be delivered. If you go with the standard 2-hour delivery window you will select an available 2-hour slot when placing your order.

You can only place your order the day before or the day of delivery. But you can fill your cart via the Prime Now app or the website (primenow.amazon.com) as far in advance as you want. I usually start my order once my travel plans are made and then I add items as I remember them. Items will periodically go out of stock, so it's a good idea to re-check your order a few days to a week before your trip.

I’m debating using this for our upcoming trip. Glad to hear that you can place an order the day before too. Does that give you a better selection of delivery windows? I would assume yes, but you never know.

The longer you wait, the more delivery windows fill up. So yes, I’d recommend ordering the day before. Last time I waited until I got to the hotel to place my order and I ended up with a late delivery slot.

I haven't used prime now, but we have done grocery delivery there through local grocery stores. Both Fairfield Inn and Residence Inn brought the groceries to our room and unpacked the refrigerated stuff to put in the fridge (arrived before we checked in.)

I use Prime shipping often, but haven’t used this yet. Do you tip when delivered? Or is it treated the same as a regular mail delivery? Thanks!

Prime Now is delivered by a person. Think of it like ordering groceries delivered from your local grocery store. I usually tip through the app when I submit the order, but you could tip the delivery person directly if you time it so that you meet the driver at your resort (vs. having your order dropped off with bell services).
