I have a couple of questions about mailing postcards.

1. How long does it take if you use the drop boxes inside the theme parks? Is it quicker to go somewhere else?

2. Does Florida have different stamps, like mickey, the sun, etc?

3. Do they stamp a cute logo or something on envelopes that are mailed within the theme parks?

1) yes, it takes a bit longer. someone empties the mail after the park closes and then it goes to the Lake Buena Vista post office.

2) no, not that I know of. I usually buy a couple of post card stamps before I go.

3) no, they are postmarked Lake Buena Vista, not Walt Disney World.

When i went down in october, I sent one of the cards that I had out of a post office in Davenport (where I was staying at a friend's) and it got to my office in PA about 2 - 3 days later. Those I mail from the park usually take a week.

It can often take much longer for mail to get where it is going when mailed from WDW...even from the drop boxes in the Disney Resorts. I once sent a bill payment from the Boardwalk and it took two weeks to get where it was going. We've often made it home before the postcards we sent from the parks.

When the parks first opened they used a "Walt Disney World" postmark but now it is just the generic "Lake Buena Vista postmark. Stamps are the same as you would find at your local post office.

Hope this helps.
