Hi everyone. We are at t-minus 24 days away from our Disney vacation, and we are curious about Expedition Everest. We will be in the world from Sept 5-11th.

What has the average wait time been lately?
When do the fastpasses typically run out?
How does the baby swap work for this attraction?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers! :woohoo:

I curious too...I am going soon
So I'll check back later
(sorry to crash the thread)

WE loved EE!! We got to AK at rope drop--of course everyone headed to EE for fastpasses. We sent hubby and BIL, they then met us at the safari ride, we rode the safari and the Kali river rapides and then went to EE with our fast passes. I think at that time of the morning, the line was about an hour long and the fast pass was about 2 hours out--anyway we thought it was a very mild ride, our 6 year old daughter rode it. I am not sure how the child swap rode as we had grandparents with us that waited with anyone that did not want to ride!!!!!

Just a note on AK-we like it, but it was way crowded! I don't think that there is as much room on the path's to move around, so everyone was squashed in! Also in Ak do not miss It is tough to be a bug!!

Just rode it fore the first time today. When we got on at rope drop the wait time posted was 30 min but we only waited 20 min. Our fast passes were 1 hour and a half away. That ride was awesome! I love that ride. It was much more intense then what I thought it would be. So much fun! Surely a must-do! Make sure you're there at rope drop. Maybe I'll see you. I'm still there. I'm not leaving until later this week. I saw Devine today too. My DD4 was terrified of her though and kept trying to run away when she thougt Devine was coming to attack her. Devine was amazing too. You have too see her.

We were at WDW last week and we back to Ak on our last day(friday) just to ride EE again. It's the kids new favorite ride. We were there when the rope dropped and we headed right to EE. The clock outside said 70min. wait so we went ahead and got in line. We waited maybe 20 min. When we were getting on the guy told us that they are having trouble with that time clock. If it says a long wait, check with the person there it may no be that long. It was a very good ride. The backwards part was a little strange feeling. The yeti at the end was cool.

The first day that we went to AK we sent DH to get the FP for EE and met him at the Safari ride. We got the safari and Tough to be a bug in before it was time for EE. It worked out really well.

Have a great time!! We did.

I'm going to add that the wait times now in mid August may be slightly longer than it will be when the OP arrives in Sept.

By then kids are back in school & the parks tend to slow down after Labor Day.
:smooth:

I'm going to AK next Saturday, and I'm still not sure what I should do as far as an attack plan. I'm thinking of a few options. Keep in mind that the two of us have a park hopper for a single day there, and I'd just like to mainly get EE, the Safaris, Tough to be a Bug, Dinosaur, and the trails then hit the rainforest cafe (where I have reservations for 11:30 am .. too early?). From lunch, we'd head over to Magic Kingdom for a few hours and then head over to MGM for the night doing Tower of Terror, Rock n' Rollercoaster, and Fantasmic.

Which option seems best to you as far as a good attack plan that would allow for us to have lunch by noonish so that we could hit Magic Kingdom around 1 PM ish ? Kali River Rapids are out of the question because she does not want to get wet... We're also gonna skip the shows because we're doing something in that vein the next day elsewhere.

I was thinking something along the lines of....

go to EE, get a fastpass, ride EE, head to the Safaris and ride it, do the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, go to Its Tough to be a Bug and get a fastpass for it, go to Dinoland and check out Dino-Sue, ride Dinosaur, ride Primevial Whirl, use our EE fastpasses, head to Its tough to be a bug and use our fastpasses for that and then go to the Rain Forest Cafe.

Any faults in that ? I know you may be concerned about a fast pace, but we will definently take it slow but we do have the goal of keeping our stay within 3 to 4 hours in each park. I'm interested in any feedback you might have about any attack plan after AK with MK around 1 PM..

Two questions...

1) Rainforest cafe reservations are at 11:30 am. Should I bump them up to 12:15 or 12:30 pm based on my plan above for AK ?

2) Where is the best way to go to the EE line to get to the fastpass machine ? through Dinoland ? or through Discovery Island directly to Asia ? I assume that whichever of the two it is, one would then go towards the others direction to get into the actual line

We will be there around 8:15 am and waiting outside the gate. Wondering if they open a little early like Universal does, or if they're tight with opening at 9 AM sharp? Does everybody have to follow a cast member to EE or can they just go ahead on their own?

Many thanks for any contributions or feedback....
