DH, DS 9, DS 6 & I will be in staying at the Swan, 7/28 - 8/4.
We have never done an E-ride night & would like to
buy tickets for 8/1 (My birthday).
Are these tickets purchased in advanced ?
How do I go about purchasing these ?
Is it worth doing ?
TIA for all replies !!!

Well, I don't post often here and I wouldn't call myself the Disney expert (we don't go every year or anything), but we did do the E-ticket night. I found it really fun. The great thing is that you can ride some of your favorite rides with absolutely no wait. That means you can ride them over and over and over and over. We did Buzz Lightyear - no lie - 30 times (not for MY benefit!) There are only 9 or 10 rides open, I think, but they're the biggies. I don't know why, but it felt like a real private party atmosphere. Was just my son and I - real good memories.

To get the tix, just go to any Guest Services (at any park and anytime prior, even same day). You'll get a receipt which you take to a location on Main Street on E ticket night before park closing to get a bracelet (they will tell you exactly where, but you can't miss it. I forget.)

I thought it was a lot of fun - enjoy.

The tickets are purchased in advance and can be purchased at Guest Relations at your resort. The best thing to do is if you want to go purchase the tickets the day you check in. There are only so many tickets allocated for the E-night. However, in order to use the e-ride tickets you have to either enter MK (one day pass) that day or any of the other parks with your hopper pass.

It is really worth it, we have done E-pass anytime they are available. There is hardly any waits on the main rides that are open (Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Alien Encounter, Country Bear, Winnie the Pooh and a couple of more). It is really cool to walk around MK at night when it is not crowded. You can get some nice pictures of the Castle. Enjoy, we did.

Thanks ckay87 & Mickey.
I will buy the tickets at check-in.
I am a avid scrapbooker and am excited just thinking about
getting pictures of my boys in front of the castle
(and other attractions) without the crowds.
Are there any characters in the park during those 3 hours?

Just got back and we did two E-nights. Down in front of the castle they had four character stations--the first night they had Mickey and Minnie together, then Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale. Great photo ops! I think they were the same characters the second night, didn't really check.

On our last trip there I had to get the tickets for my fam and we were staying at the Swan. The people at the front desk might not know what you are talking about, at least my didn't cause she told me to go to the parks to get the tickets. If you go around the corner by the elevators there is a little Disney info stand next to conc. Ask them there first before you go to a park because they were able to do it right there for me.
